You must be in fellowship prior to your Bible study, so that the spiritual information you receive can become a source, of blessing to your soul and produce spiritual growth.
Eze. 39:26
26 After that they have borne [nasa'] their shame [kalimmah], and
all their trespasses [ma`al] whereby they have
trespassed [ma`al] against me, when they dwelt [yashab] safely [betach] in their
land ['adamah], and none made them afraid [charad]. KJV-Interlinear
26 And they shall forget their disgrace and all their
treachery which they perpetrated against Me, when they live securely on their
own land with no one to make them afraid.
NASB
For
centuries, the Jewish people have born the shame of for their loss of honor,
and loss of reputation due to their disobedience to God.
What
was that disobedience?
Gen.
17:1
1
Now when Abram was ninety-nine years old, the LORD appeared to Abram and said
to him, I am God Almighty; Walk before Me, and be blameless. NASB
The
key phrase here is Walk before Me, and be blameless. That is the command for us all.
Walking
is your day-to-day conduct. Before God,
is your conduct in accordance with His will.
His will, obviously comes from learning the scriptures. Being blameless, is your fellowship status.
In
order to be in fellowship, you confess your sins to God the Father. A very detailed study of that was covered in
1 John.
So,
the short answer to the question is simply, live your life from within the
spiritual sphere of your life, not in the temporal, or worldly, sphere.
What
did the Israelites do? Well, they did
pretty much what everyone in history does.
They were more or less indifferent toward God, ignored God, and did
things in life their own way.
The
book of Genesis, the book of Exodus, and well, pretty much the entire Old
Testament, is their story of repeated failure in their relationship with
God. It got to the point that God
finally sent them into exile for these past nearly two thousand years.
And,
that should be a good lesson for us all.
Reject God, and keep rejecting Him, and He will send you into
exile. Exile simply means, away from
God.
It
will not be until the last generation of the history of mans kingdoms, which this
last generation will occur in the Tribulation, that the Jewish people will get
their act together, as a whole people.
Until
that time, the race of the Jews will continue to reject God, His plan, His Son,
His Savior the Messiah, who is Jesus Christ.
The will continue to live in their world of salvation by works, and they
will continue to wait for something that has already occurred.
For
that, they will continue to be at the mercy of the laws of the jungle, which
more or less rules the lives of everyone who choose to, not live, under Gods
rules. The jungle is merciless and
history of filled with examples of that kind of misery.
Some
folks take a proactive position, desiring to master the jungle, to hustle
through life and beat the odds. Some
take a passive position, developing inward feelings of unworthiness, and sink
into self-pitty or asceticism. And, of
course there is an infinite number of positions in between these two extremes. All are wrong.
But
once, the Jewish race has born the full measure of their punishment, and what
exactly does that mean?
That
means simply that history will run its full course through all generations,
until it finally arrives at the generation that will finally change their
attitude, in mass.
Granted,
they will be exposed to massive pressures, pressures that will have never
existed before in history, but they will make their attitude change and turn to
God, to Christ, and to doctrine.
Then,
and only then, when they as a group, and as individuals, reach spiritual
maturity, then they will no longer have the fears that spiritually immature
people have. Immature people die a
thousand deaths during their lifetime. They fear almost everything, what with paranoia s,
suspicions, doubts, complaining, bitterness, and such.
The
mature believer dies but once, and that is the moment of their physical
transition out of this world.
Mature
believers have a relaxed mental attitude about life, taking things in stride. Immature people fret over just about
everything, often times exaggerating things way out of proportion.
The
promised land, in reality is the secure position of spiritual maturity. It is with you no matter where you are, and
no one can take it away from you.
Now is the time to post a prayer.
End Of Lesson
Study to show thyself approved (mature) unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing (studying/discerning), the Word of truth.
