Ex. 15:6-10
6 'Thy right hand, O LORD, is majestic in power, Thy right hand, O LORD, shatters the enemy. 7 'And in the greatness of Thine excellence Thou dost overthrow those who rise up against Thee; Thou dost send forth Thy burning anger, and it consumes them as chaff. 8 'And at the blast of Thy nostrils the waters were piled up, The flowing waters stood up like a heap; The deeps were congealed in the heart of the sea. 9 'The enemy said, 'I will pursue, I will overtake, I will divide the spoil; My desire shall be gratified against them; I will draw out my sword, my hand shall destroy them.' 10 'Thou didst blow with Thy wind, the sea covered them; They sank like lead in the mighty waters.
Powerful principles of doctrine are here presented. The right hand is a position of honor, of authority, of power, of justice, of righteousness. The right hand legitimizes Gods position and His right to impose judgment on creation, to differentiate between good and bad and to apply treatment accordingly.
God is majestic in power. There is no other power that can measure up to that of God. We have seen lately a lot of controversy over human stem cell harvesting and related research. That the embryo somehow in its collection of divided and multiplied cells, the stem comes into being and directs the DNA program in its development of the various human organs. Quite a sophisticated process and certainly not one of accidental occurrence in nature. God designed it and brought it into existence. There is no human invention or imagination that could ever come close to it.
The enemy is anyone who opposes God, anyone who is disinterested in God, anyone who is apathetic toward God, anyone who is violently antagonistic against God. The first three chapters of Revelation describe seven variations of attitude toward God. Any who are not aligned up with God and obedient to His Word are in effect His enemy. Some may be believers gone astray, so they become the recipients of discipline as is appropriate to members of Gods family. Those who have rejected faith in Christ, and therefore are designated as unbelievers, become recipients of Gods judgment.
Either way God shatters those who oppose Him. People take what God has given, their very life (biological and soul life), their environment (the world, their jobs, their status in life), their existence in its entirety and use it to satisfy their own selfish desires, their own selfish gratification's and lusts, and at the expense of others. Generally to the harm inflicted on others. With no remorse, no empathy, no concern for the rights of others, the wicked (both believers and unbelievers) take from others without a second thought.
Gods policy is clear, burning anger, or the application of fair and decisive judgment against the wrong doers. God exhales righteousness to those who are positive. He blasts with His nostrils (exhale of doctrine) the proper levels of protection (the walls of water, the wall of fire) to those who pursue Him.
He inhales (withdraws, reverses the direction of that East wind to a West wind) and takes his protection from those who pursue wickedness (the Egyptians).
The wicked elevate themselves in their own arrogance, and doom, destruction, and death is their reward. The wicked care for no one but themselves, and for the taking of all they can accumulate from others (the anticipated looting of Israel and their slaughter). Thus the winds of life were reverse and the successes of the wicked (their pursuit) were placed in checked and terminated in their defeat. They ran right into their own trap.
Today there are five major theologies on earth. There are of course many sub-classes within each as well as probably many other religious beliefs like cults and such, but over the centuries there have been five major beliefs - Christianity, Judaism, Hinduism, Buddhism, and Islam. Christianity is often stated as having begun with the ministry of Christ, but that is not true. Christianity (the following or belief in Christ) actually is the original faith since the time of Adam. Though His name of Jesus (a Greek word) was not known as such, He still remained the Son of God, the promised Savior, etc. The others religions came along to discredit, dilute, and distort various forms of Bible doctrine, and certainly to confuse those who would follow the false beliefs.
The Bible is clear in that God is one, He is The God, and there is none other. All others (gods, religions, philosophies, etc.) will sink into history when history finally ends, as the lead of the Egyptians sank in the Red Sea.
The wicked swears to draw out their sword and destroy, but it is they who will be destroyed by the double edged sword of God. Arrogance is a very powerful force. Those who are enslaved by it probably do not recognize their status of slavery, and when it is pointed out to them, they reject and ignore the truthful counsel. Even the events of life that convince everyone of their small status on this earth are not enough to change the hard core negative types. Pharaoh and Moses are opposite types. The Egyptian army and the Israelites are opposite types. One grumbles and runs, the latter grumbles and follows.
Where do each one of us stand? Look into that mirror and self examine your soul. Objectively! Are you fooling yourself, or are you waking up to truth? Are you obedient to whatever or whomever you are supposed to be obedient? Or, are you rebellious and stubborn with that attitude that you can do no wrong?
Is Gods breath an exhale onto your life and therefore blessing? Or, is it withdrawn and sucked away from your life leaving you to the jungle and miserable doom because of your stupidity?
Now is the time to post a prayer.
End Of Lesson
Study to show thyself approved (mature) unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing (studying/discerning), the Word of truth.
