Dan. 6:25-28
Lesson # Dan. 6:25-28
Study Material - Dan. 6:25-28
You must be in fellowship prior to your Bible study, so that the spiritual information you receive can become a source, of blessing to your soul and produce spiritual growth.
Dan. 6:25-28
25 Then Darius the king wrote to all the peoples, nations, and men of every language who were living in all the land: 'May your peace abound! 26 'I make a decree that in all the dominion of my kingdom men are to fear and tremble before the God of Daniel; For He is the living God and enduring forever, And His kingdom is one which will not be destroyed, And His dominion will be forever. 27 'He delivers and rescues and performs signs and wonders In heaven and on earth, Who has also delivered Daniel from the power of the lions.' 28 So this Daniel enjoyed success in the reign of Darius and in the reign of Cyrus the Persian.
The conspirators attempted to make a decree that was unalterable and irrevocable, and of course no man can do any such thing. Now Darius makes a proclamation that discloses something that is truly unalterable and irrevocable - that God is The God, is the eternal God, whose kingdom will endure forever, who has authority over all of creation, who does His will regardless of the will of mankind, who will judge and rescue according to His own essence.
Darius states the issue in this matter. Men tried to conspire against Daniel and they were foiled by God and no other. Whereas any other person probably would have gone into the pit and that would have been the end of their lives and the issue. The jungle is unforgiving and there are many who suffer undeservingly, but because they seek their livelihood from the jungle environment (they ignore God in their lives), then they suffer the consequences of the jungle as well.
Daniel, on the other hand, dedicated his life to God. He did not become a monk, did not declare himself into poverty, did not chose to wear monks robes, all of these are merely for the appearance to mankind and impress God not one bit. God is impressed by the content of your soul, when you have Bible doctrine in it. Why? Because God is impressed by that which comes from Himself - His word, and nothing under creation, which will all (creation) be destroyed one day.
Daniel kept his day job. he commuted as we all do. He checked in and performed his daily tasks. But the difference between Daniel and all others was his attitude toward God, whom he worshipped (the functions and actions of residence in fellowship, scripture study, prayer, application to daily life) regularly as was his habit.
Others hustle through life. They choose life in the jungle in accordance with jungle rules - the good rules and the bad rules. Others depend on their luck, education, ability, connections, circumstances of life. Their limited successes are just that, limited and short lived. Their life results in their demise sooner or later.
They have no hope because there is no foundation on which to rest their hope. Beneath the jungle is only quicksand. And throughout history the jungle is slowly settling and sinking under its own weight. The ultimate result will be the destruction of wickedness at the Second Advent of Christ.
So what do we learn? That which Darius speaks of in his message to the entire kingdom, to all regions, to all languages. Gods Word is spread throughout the entire world. There is no one who has an excuse for not having heard Gods Word, nor knowing right from wrong.
Gods essence transcends all. He is a living God, not a dead deity whether of wood or stone or philosophy or of man made technology and mans theories based on mans limited knowledge of the universe. God is a powerful God. He upholds all of creation and is the glue which binds all things together. Reject the glue and all things dissolve into oblivion. Man has no capability to hold anything in life together, not even his own life of the current moment, nor of his destiny. All things depend on God. All things are from God. God has absolute dominion over all that is. Jesus Christ is God and Jesus Christ controls history - from the movement of galaxies to the smallest of details in your life.
Those who conspired against Daniel lost all they had. Daniel persevered in his faith in God regardless of the cruelties he was made to suffer, and he prospered.
If you had the choice in life of pure prosperity with no suffering at all, or of having to endure some suffering, then you should choose the latter. Why? Because those who have no obstacles in life will tend to lose sight of God and have no need for Him, therefore they run the risk of losing out in life and in eternity. Those who have to endure suffering of various types tend to look to a higher power for help, therefore they look to God and gain in time as well as in eternity.
You suffer for a reason. Either to enhance your spiritual life by building up your spiritual muscle, or to punish you for your failure in your spiritual life. Whether you messed up in life is not relevant. Sure you will suffer if you rob a bank, run off from your marriage, don't go to work, or get caught in the path of a tornado, are born with half a brain (is this a blond joke?), etc. Whatever the reason for your suffering, you can always recover from that suffering by getting back to your daily Bible study. And by Bible study we mean - fellowship (regular confession function - not to a priest but to God the Father alone who receives all prayer), daily study, learning, relearning via repetition, applying to your daily life and so forth. Bible doctrine needs to cycle regularly through your mind and become a part of your normal daily life.
Through spiritual growth peace and prosperity will abound in your life.
Now is the time to post a prayer.
End Of Lesson
