Titus
Introduction
The book of Titus was
written by Paul in the late 50 s A.D., perhaps around 56 A.D.The theme of this letter is, discernment.
Titus was never
mentioned in any of the rest of the books in the New Testament, but is
mentioned only by Paul in a few of his letters.Titus was one of Pauls main messengers. But more than that, Titus went to many far away places not only to
spread the gospel, but to help people in those far off places, establish their
churches.
Titus was a gentile. He grew up in Asia Minor, traveled with Paul
at various times, was sent to Crete, and as far away as Dalmatia
(Yugoslavia).Titus went to the places
that were sparse in population and where the people were backwards to say the
least, in their cultures.
