4 And [kai] the four [tessares] and [kai] twenty [eikosi] elders [presbuteros] and [kai] the four [tessares] beasts [zoon] fell down [pipto] and [kai] worshipped [proskuneo] God [theos] that sat [kathemai] on [epi] the throne, [thronos]
saying, [lego] Amen; [amen] Alleluia. [allelouia]KJV-Interlinear
4 And the
twenty-four elders and the four living creatures fell down and worshiped God
who sits on the throne saying, "Amen. Hallelujah!" NASB
The twenty-four elders and the four living beings were studied in chapter four. The twenty-four elders are representative of the believers from our dispensation, the Church Age. The four living beasts symbolize the very essence of life.
And so, even though all believers from our dispensation will not have participated in the Tribulation, having been Raptured out of this world prior to the beginning of the Tribulation, but at its close, will join in the celebration of the defeat and removal of Satan and all evil.
The four beasts representing all of creation, the very foundation of life itself, will join in the celebration as well.
And now the whole of creation, believers and angels, all, will celebrate as never before, at the victory of Christ, and the permanent defeat of evil.
That is a promise that has been made and repeated since the time of Adam, and when the Second Advent occurs, at the end of the Tribulation, that promise will be completed.
And the object of worship, is He who sits on the throne, namely Jesus Christ, the God/man in one single person, the unique person in all that is.
Deut 6:4
4 Hear, O Israel! The Lord is our God, the Lord is one! NASB
The Lord is the second person of the Trinity. The Lord is unique, because the Lord is also man. Both God and man, in one person. Many passages declare the Savior to be born and man, and also declare the Savior to be God.
The name Joshua Messiah, and the name Jesus Christ are equivalents and the same, both meaning the anointed one is God.
God cannot sit on a throne, but man can. And the one who sits on the throne is God and man. And the only person in history who fits that role is Jesus Christ.
