2 because His judgments are true and righteous; for He has judged the great harlot who was corrupting the earth with her immorality, and He has avenged the blood of His bond-servants on her." NASB Greatness, power, majesty, glory, and victory belong to God and to God alone, 1 Chron. 29:11. These never belong to mankind, except for one single person, namely Jesus Christ. Because evil has been defeated and removed from the world and from history, then the voices in heaven will also praise God for His justice. Humanity, since the beginning of human history, has witnessed the inequities, injustices, unfairness's and bias of the world, and Gods people, believers in Christ, have long waited for Gods justice to put the final end to all injustices. Gods vengeance and promise for His people is described in Deut. 32:42-43. And when the Tribulation finally arrives, then God will put the final touches on the judgment of evil, once and for all. Babylon is described as the harlot, one who exploits all value out of their target, only to result in their own destruction. And that is exactly what Satan has done since the time of Adam. He has leached the value of the world, out of the world, through the enticements and deceptions of evil. And in so doing, has tried with all his might, to destroy those who are the legitimate heirs of the next universe and heaven. The blood of Christians has been spilled since the beginning, and will be greatly escalated in the Tribulation. For in the Tribulation more Christians and Jews will die in that short seven year period, than at any other single time period in all of human history. Partly because of the huge population that will exist in that future time, and partly because of the panic of Satan due to his time being very short. God has pronounced judgment against evil for the benefit of His people, Rev 18:20; 16:5-6; 2 Sam 22:48; Ps 58:10-11; 79:10; 94:1-2; Jer 15:15; 20:12; 51:36; Joel 3:20-21. Therefore, despite the struggle and celebration of evil throughout history, its time is limited and will eventually end forever. And that will be a time of great celebration for all who have believed in Christ.
