15 And [kai] the serpent [ophis] cast [ballo] out of [ek] his [autos] mouth [stoma] water [hudor] as [hos] a flood [potamos] after [opiso] the woman, [gune] that [hina] he might cause [poieo] her [taute] to be carried away of the flood. [potamophoretos]  KJV-Interlinear

15 And the serpent poured water like a river out of his mouth after the woman, so that he might cause her to be swept away with the flood. NASB

The serpent is Satan. The woman is the nation of Israel, or the Jewish people in general, but more particularly those Jewish people who have believed in Christ, and are either running and/or hiding from Satan, the anti-christ, and their forces.

When the temple is blasphemed, that is the signal for getting out of Dodge, and fast. People certainly will have ample warning and opportunity to leave for the mountains earlier than that temple event, but most will ignore the many warnings of the prior three years, and as a result, many will pay the ultimate price.

The river out of the mouth as a flood, is symbolism for Satan’s phenomenal onslaught against the Jews.

Floods symbolize trouble in general, 2 Sam 22:17; Job 27:20; Ps 18:16; 32:6; 69:1-2,13-14; 124:2-5; 144:7, and an invading or destroying army, Jer 46:8; 47:2; Dan 11:26.

This imagery represents a massive flood, or attack against the Jews.  This is not a flood of water, but a flood of military or police or whatever forces that Satan has at his disposal, unbelievers who are loyal to the anti-christ.

In massive and flash floods, people caught up in them are swept away, drowned, killed. They die in total helplessness. They are pulled under, tossed and tumbled and thrown against whatever debris is in the water, they are caused to struggle with little or no hope for escape.

And this is the picture of the massive attack launched against the Jews. It will be fast and furious and violent.

Satan has been thrown out of heaven, and is in a total desperation mode for his own survival. He is not going to take any prisoners, but intends to kill off every Jew he can find.

Many will fall and die, because they did not listen to nor take heed to the warnings and commands from God.

But then again, that is the case for everyone throughout history. It is your warning too.

Ignore God and pay the ultimate price of loss in every respect.

But in the middle of the Tribulation, the warning will determine life or death for those who listen or not.
