Matthew 24:13-14
Lesson # Matt. 24:13-14
Study Material - Matt. 24:13-14
You must be in fellowship prior to your Bible study, so that the spiritual information you receive can become a source, of blessing to your soul and produce spiritual growth.
Matt. 24:13-14
13 But [de] he that shall endure [hupomeno] unto [eis] the end [telos] , the same [houtos] shall be saved [sozo] .
14 And [kai] this [touto] gospel [euaggelion] of the kingdom [basileia] shall be preached [kerusso] in [en] all [holos] the world [oikoumene] for [eis] a witness [marturion] unto all [pas] nations [ethnos] ; and [kai] then [tote] shall the end [telos] come [heko] . KJV-Interlinear
Matt. 24:13-14
13 'But the one who endures to the end, he shall be saved. 14 'And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world for a witness to all the nations, and then the end shall come. NAS
The sixth and final birth pain is the miraculous availability, and on going teaching of the gospel, worldwide, and in the midst of histories most intense and overwhelming opposition against Gods Word.
These various persecutions are not directed at people per se, but are a coordinated effort by Satan to win the angelic conflict. We have to remember that we are not the center of activity in this universe. We are but one more element in a conflict that began long before humanity even came into existence.
There are but two real issues in life. Attitude toward Christ, and attitude toward Gods Word (after salvation). Around these two issues, everything else that impacts your life, revolves. What you are, think, say, do, achieve, etc., are entirely dependent on and related to God and Gods plan in some fashion.
You are not independent of everything else in existence. God is the glue, so to speak, which holds all things together. If you are the paper and you reject the glue which holds your particles together, then you dissolve into oblivion. You cannot hold yourself together. Whether you recognize it or not, whether you believe it or not is irrelevant. You can reject gravity and jump off of a tall building. Whose will is going to win out? Not yours. Ignore the gravity and you fall to your demise. Remove the gravity and you float away. Man has no power over that which is beyond his realm or even within his realm for that matter. Why would anyone think they could get by without God?
Endurance is not the means of your deliverance, but is a reflection of your comprehension, belief, and acceptance of that which is going to deliver you - Gods Word.
Those who endure, simply means, those who study or hear the gospel and doctrine, listen intently to it, believe it, and translate it into some meaningful practice in their life, then those are the ones who will first grow up spiritually, and those are the ones who will recognize and be given mechanisms of deliverance during the Tribulation.
Millions of people will survive the Tribulation despite Satan's intensified effort to kill everyone off. One of their blessings of survival (based on their adherence to Gods Word), will be their right to live in the Millennium for the next 1000 years. At the second Advent, all unbelievers will die and only believers will survive to live in the Millennium. The exact opposite situation of the Rapture when believers are removed and unbelievers remain and mankind virtually destroys himself within seven years. Now believers remain and human history will continue for another 1000 years before God calls a halt to it all.
Mankind cannot run his own life. Mankind has never been able to run his own life. God has always been a part of mans life whether we accept it or not.
In our present day, people still face the issues of whether they will believe in Christ, and subsequent to that, whether they will believe in His Word. Most believe the Bible superficially, but they just do not accept it into the application of their daily life. Too many conflicts between what people want to do in life and what God wants us to do. It is much easier to ignore Gods rules and continue with whatever standards we have accepted or are more convenient to our daily life. Mans securities are more real to them when they stay within their comfort zones of life. Comfort zones which exclude Gods principles of life are false comfort zones.
Now we all pretty much live within a reasonably prosperous era. And, if we are passive toward God now, just imagine what our attitude would be like if the world, the entire world, were engulfed with overwhelming pressure as has been described for the Tribulation. Passive people now would never survive.
People with a genuine desire for Gods Word will survive in that time of the Tribulation which will be the most dreadful time in all of mans history. Adherence to doctrine then will be the means of their endurance and eventual survival, and it is the means of our endurance and survival in our current day.
God is faithful. God never changes. The power of His Word is far greater than any power of this world.
We all just have to see it, recognize it, and genuinely want it bad enough to make God and His Word a part of our life. That last item (genuinely wanting it) is generally the biggest hurdle. With spiritual growth to maturity, then there is nothing in life that can defeat you. Without it, then even the smallest things will bury you.
Now is the time to post a prayer.
End Of Lesson
Study to show thyself approved (mature) unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing (studying/discerning), the Word of truth.
