You must be in fellowship prior to your Bible study, so that the spiritual information you receive can become a source, of blessing to your soul and produce spiritual growth.
Heb. 12:28-29
28
Wherefore [dio] we receiving [paralambano]
a kingdom [basileia] which cannot be moved [asaleutos], let us have [echo] grace [charis], whereby [dia] [hos] we may serve [latreuo] God [theos] acceptably [euarestos] with
[meta] reverence [aidos] and [kai] godly fear [eulabeia]:
29 For [kai] [gar] our [hemon] God [theos] is a consuming [katanalisko]
fire [pur].
KJV-Interlinear
28
Therefore, since we receive a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us show
gratitude, by which we may offer to God an acceptable service with reverence
and awe; 29 for our God is a consuming
fire. NASB
We all have a destiny which
lay before us. It is only a potential,
but that potential is tied to our own decisions. If we decide positively for
Gods plan, then we secure His promises.
If we decide against Gods plan, then we do not. It is really that simple.
The Bible teaches us
exactly what Gods plan is. The Bible
teaches exactly what God expects of each one of us. The Bible leaves nothing to guess work, or to
ones imagination. God is fair. God does not play tricks on us, nor does He
set us up with little tests for which we do not know the rules or the
expectations. God is not going to lead
you along and then when you stumble once, cut you off.
Your pattern of life is
really what counts, not your occasional stumble. And do not think that you are allowed a
stumble from time to time. You can trap
yourself into a pattern and trend of life which will lead you to failure. So, don t flirt with the dark side!
God offers each one of us a
huge kingdom, His kingdom. God offers
each one of us a huge package of blessings.
These benefits are so huge and phenomenal as to totally exceed our
imagination. Remember the star count
from the our study the other day? Even
that is somewhat within our ability to imagine, but Gods blessings far exceed
even that.
And all we have to do is
obey His commands. And what exactly is
that? Study the Bible, stay in
fellowship, learn doctrine, apply it to our daily life, understand it, and keep
on following this pattern for our life, for all of our life. Not too much to ask in exchange for a kings
wealth and more. God is not
unreasonable. God does not make
unreasonable requests of us.
For those who reject Christ
completely, then there is the certainty of Gods judgment. There won t be an April s fool joke behind
it all. There will not be a just
fooling surprise behind Gods warning.
God is perfect
righteousness, and perfect justice. By
allowing sin into this creation (via Satan) just look at what has happened to
history. Do you think that God would
want to extend current history flaws into the next created universe?
And by the way, since there
will be just one more created universe, then this expansion and collapsing
repetition of the universe theory, is nothing more than the product of
someone s imagination. There was never a
big bang. God started it all off with
His instant creation act. The universe
will be destroyed, but not by means of its own physics. God will destroy it all
in an instant.
Likewise, God will create a
new universe which will then be indestructible, unshakable, and permanent.
And even though our eternal
life will be one adventure after another, it is not likely that we will ever
see all of that new universe. It will be
so vast.
What then do we owe God for
such a future? All He asks of us is that
we study His Word and learn its wisdom and abide by it. That isn t asking much.
Now is the time to post a prayer.
End Of Lesson
Study to show thyself approved (mature) unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing (studying/discerning), the Word of truth.
