You must be in fellowship prior to your Bible study, so that the spiritual information you receive can become a source, of blessing to your soul and produce spiritual growth.
Heb. 10:30-31
30 For [gar] we know [eido] him that hath said [epo], Vengeance [ekdikesis] belongeth unto me [emoi], I [ego] will recompense [antapodidomi], saith [lego] the Lord [kurios]. And [kai] again [palin], The Lord [kurios] shall judge [krino] his [autos] people [laos].
31 It is a fearful thing [phoberos] to fall [empipto] into [eis] the hands [cheir] of the living [zao] God [theos]. KJV-Interlinear
30 For we know Him who said, 'Vengeance is Mine, I will repay.' And again, 'The Lord will judge His people.' 31 It is a terrifying thing to fall into the hands of the living God. NASB
Anything outside of the spiritual life is uncertain and temporary. That is the best it will ever be and there is nothing better that will come out of his world.
It is common for folks who live outside of their spiritual life, to wonder whether there isn't something better in life. Philosophies, stories, songs, and such things have that as their main subject.
Life is tough and that is true. We all live in the devils world. Some folks were born into terrible circumstances. All of us face problems of one sort or another sooner or later in our lives. This life in this world was never intended to be a guarantee of riches. It was intended to be our opportunity to live and learn while we grow up spiritually, and watch God take care of our every need regardless of our circumstances in life.
We will all face the tests of life. The big difference between a mature or growing believer and everyone else, is that the mature or growing believer, knows that there is something better and that it will come along in Gods good timing, and that it is certain to come and not just some emotional wish. Eternity will be phenomenal. Life in this world will be secure in that God will take care of all our needs.
The actions of God are certain, but our recognition of that fact is not so certain. Only the mature believer and the growing believer can recognize it.
God is patient. God wants the very best for everyone. God tries His very best to provide us with everything we need in order to help us make the right decisions in life, so that we do not fail in life and fail in eternity.
God does not and never will, force or coerce anyone into obeying His will. He allows us all to make that choice on our own.
But the certainty of an 'end of days' is always before us. One day we will all die. One day this dispensation will come to an end (the Rapture). One day we will all stand before Christ and be evaluated. One day Christ will return in His Second Advent. One day the Millennium will begin and also come to an end. One day there will be a final judgment for unbelievers. One day this universe as we all know it, will be destroyed, not through the natural course of its own doing, but at the hand of God. One day there will be a new universe. One that is going to be infinitely better than what we currently have. We can't even begin to imagine what it will be like.
Deut. 32:35
35 'Vengeance is Mine, and retribution, In due time their foot will slip; For the day of their calamity is near, And the impending things are hastening upon them.' NASB
Deut. 32:36
36 'For the LORD will vindicate His people, And will have compassion on His servants; NASB
Psa. 135:14
14 For the LORD will judge His people, And will have compassion on His servants. NASB
2 Peter 3:9
9 The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance. NASB
2 Peter 3:10-13
10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, in which the heavens will pass away with a roar and the elements will be destroyed with intense heat, and the earth and its works will be burned up. 11 Since all these things are to be destroyed in this way, what sort of people ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, 12 looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, on account of which the heavens will be destroyed by burning, and the elements will melt with intense heat! 13 But according to His promise we are looking for new heavens and a new earth, in which righteousness dwells. NASB
Only the wise will recognize these facts and get with a daily study program so as to have the very best possible future for themselves, and an even more stable life now.
Only the fool will turn away from God, His Word, and their own spiritual life, and look to their present desires, for that is all that they care about. And, in the end, they will pay dearly.
Now is the time to post a prayer.
End Of Lesson
Study to show thyself approved (mature) unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing (studying/discerning), the Word of truth.
