11 For I would have you know, brethren, that the gospel which was preached by me is not according to man. NASB To certify, 'gnorizo,' means to declare, to make known. And so, comparing the true gospel of Christ, to the various false gospels previously mentioned, which the people of Galatia have been openly listening to and accepting without question, here now Paul declares that the true gospel did not come from man. This indicates clearly that all false gospels, and/or philosophies, and/or opinions that are not truth, are not from God, but are from man. And where does man get the basis for his beliefs? They are invented. The come from the figment of his imagination. God is the source of truth. Man is not. Man is not the source of anything other than error, deceit, and false information. All religions in the world are mans invention, and have nothing to do with truth or reality. And so Paul is going to explain just where he received his information in the next few verses, but for the moment, in this verse, he makes it clear that the true gospel did not come from man. Paul did not invent it. He did not manufacture it. He was not taught it. He did not receive instruction from any source of this world. He did not go to school to learn it. He was not bestowed any form of credentials by earning it, or working for it, or discovering it. The true gospel, and for that matter, all doctrine, neither comes from this world or man in any way shape or form. All scripture is God breathed, as the Bible states. And anything invented by man is nothing more than hot air.
