Prisca and Aquila, and the household of Onesiphorus. NASB
In closing, Paul makes mention of old friends, never forgetting those with whom he had been acquainted over the years.
Prisca (Priscilla) and Aquila met Paul at Corinth. They are mentioned throughout Acts 18. Aquila was a tent maker as was Paul. Paul stayed with them during his stay in Corinth.
Paul took them with him to Ephesus, and while there, Priscilla and Aquila met a fellow Jew named Apollos, an Alexandrian by birth, and took him aside and explained to him the way of God more accurately.
In his letter to the Roman church, Paul sent greetings to Prisca and Aquila, indicating that they were again living in Corinth.
The household of Onesiphorus, was mentioned earlier in this letter in chapter 1. And the repetition of the mention indicates that this family was indeed Christian.
Time and distance may separate people, but when a legitimate relationship in truth, has been formed, then no amount of time, and no distance will diminish that relationship.
Pleasant memories are never lost, but will follow you everywhere. Relationships are built on trust and truth. Good friends never seek to take advantage of each other, never seek to use each other for ones own personal advantage, and certainly never seek to blame each other when things do not go well.
