2 John
Introduction
The message of 2 John is truth, and its relationship to the Christian life. John refers to the body of the scriptures as truth, and also he refers to the Lord Jesus Christ as the truth incarnate, or the living truth and of whom is the primary subject of all of the scriptures (Genesis through Revelation).
While John emphasized the subject of fellowship, in 1 John, this second book will emphasize the subject of love and its definition, and of the spiritual life and its definition. And, we'll see that they both will refer to each other as one and the same thing - obedience to Gods commands, which means obedience to the content of the principles and guidelines delineated in the Bible.
