7 For [gar] God [theos]
hath [kaleo] not [ou] called [kaleo] us [hemas] unto [epi] uncleanness, [akatharsia] but [alla] unto [en] holiness. [hagiasmos]KJV-Interlinear
7 For God has
not called us for the purpose of impurity, but in sanctification. NASB
There are two common
references to humanity, that of the flesh which refers to the material, physical
or temporal side of life, and the spirit, which refers to the immaterial or
spiritual side of life.
The material side of
life is the flesh, the sin nature, the carnal side. God is not the author of sin, nor the perpetuator
of sin or evil.
God promotes the spirit
side.God is the creator of all things,
the physical (the universe), life (the temporal), and eternal (the spiritual).
God brought us into
this world not to become impure, but to be pure.It is the sin nature and fundamental nature
of man which drives him to the carnal side of life, rather than the spiritual
side.
And given mans
tendency, then God provided a way for man to become separated from the trap
that the carnal side of life, holds for humanity. That separation path is called sanctification
and was made possible by the work of Christ on the Cross.
Trapped by sin, man had
no outlet to hope for in life.Man being
a biological entity in his physical makeup, had no means of creating or
discovering or inventing a way out of the sin nature which traps him.Likewise, since man cannot create new life or
a new life for himself, then also man cannot release himself,
or escape from, the trap that sin has on his soul.
God provided salvation,
and through salvation the path to separation from sin and evil, and into eternal
life and eternal completion of humanity.
It remains for you to
make the correct choice in life, in order to achieve that which God provides
freely.
Gods intention is for you to advance to the fullest
possible person that you can be.God
gives you the means of accomplishing that goal. All is there right before you.You only have to want it, desire it, and go for it, without quitting.
