Truth Cries Out
John 12:41

41 These things [tauta] said [epo] Esaias [Hesaias] , when [hote] he saw [eido] his [autos] glory [doxa] , and [kai] spake [laleo] of [peri] him [autos] . KJV-Interlinear

41 These things Isaiah said, because he saw His glory, and he spoke of Him. NASB

Isaiah lived several centuries before the first advent of Christ, and through the scriptures revealed to him, he saw the glory of Jesus Christ (the Son of God). Jesus Christ has had a glory since eternity past. Jesus Christ as God is co-equal, co-eternal, and co-infinite with the Father and the Spirit

As with every prophet that came before him (Isaiah), and so with every prophet who came and are still to come after him, all spiritual information came to Isaiah first from God, and was then revealed by the prophet to whomever would have an interest in hearing. And how long will this go on?

Isa 6:11,
11 Then I said, 'Lord, how long?' And He answered, 'Until cities are devastated and without inhabitant, Houses are without people, And the land is utterly desolate, NASB

This gives a peek into the Tribulation yet to come. You will recall that this period is the last seven years of the dispensation we call the Age of Israel. We have studied it in Daniel, Matthew, and Revelation. The Tribulation will be the absolute worst period of time for any human being to live through. Actually most of the folks during that time will die as God removes over ¾'s of the world population during that period, and in the very end, and huge number of unbelievers will bring that total to well into the 90's % of the worlds population. Cities will be devastated. No commerce, no factories, nothing of mans history and invention will enter into the Millennium of Christ's rule. Man will not receive any credit for anything in the Millennium. All will be provided by Christ.

How did Isaiah know this?
Isa 6:8-9
8 Then I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, 'Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?' Then I said, 'Here am I. Send me!' 9 And He said, 'Go, and tell this people: 'Keep on listening, but do not perceive; Keep on looking, but do not understand.' NASB

Isa 21:10,
10 O my threshed people, and my afflicted of the threshing floor! What I have heard from the LORD of hosts, The God of Israel, I make known to you. NASB

God is the source of All scripture. God made known to man first, His Word, then sent out man to preach (as it were) to all of humanity.

But people in general do not listen. They have better things to do. Better philosophies to believe in. The result? Eventually mankind will destroy himself, 'Until cities are devastated.'

Will God devastate the cities? No. Man will do this all by himself. Christ will return not only to rescue the last generation of believers (mature ones), but to terminate the irreversible atrocities and evil acts of mankind, preventing the total destruction of the human race. Unbelievers will all die in that future time. There will be so many dead that it will take six months to bury the dead, and even then people who remain alive during that time (believers only) will not be able to bury all of the dead. God will call in masses of birds (scavengers) to consume the dead and thus help with the removal of the stench.

Why so long to bury the dead? Christ could obviously bury or evaporate every dead thing in an instant, but He does not. The purpose for this is to make a deep impression on the human race which is about to enter into the Millennial reign of Christ. Those folks will live for 1000 years. They will be having children by the dozens, and the population of the world will explode like never before. Beginning the last dispensation with a lasting and deeply ingrained lesson is essential such that those folks will never forget.

Isaiah saw the Lords glory even in his time centuries before the first advent, and heard the word spoken to him, then turned around to teach everyone who would listen.

Isaiah is a very interesting book and we will go through it completely one day. He is said to be the Apostle Paul of the Old Testament, and indeed that description is more than fair.

But the results of hearing the Word or God is a mixed bag, which is tomorrow's lesson
